Dear Marilyn,

In my parish, in the past, I've been a CCD special education teacher and I've coordinated the CCD program. I completed the archdiocesan course for regular CCD teachers. I've been Women's Council President and held umpteen other council positions. I'm a trained Eucharistic Minister and Lector and have served in both capacities. I've taken the archdiocese Bereavement training, have "Parents Helping Parents" teacher certification, and have RCIA training.

Presently, for my parish, I'm on the Pastoral Council, serve as lector, am part of the RCIA team, am Civic Affairs co-chair for the Women's Council (I'm their volunteer for United Way, etc.), head the Emmaus Group (small adult support group), help with bereavement ministry when asked, and periodically teach "Parents Helping Parents" classes. I'm a support service volunteer with Women in Community Service. I'm semi-retired with two wonderful part-time jobs. One day a week I'm at St. John Chrysostom school where I help in the computer lab and work with students on their monthly newspaper and their yearbook. I also work 19 hours a week for Vision of Hope, an effort by the Dominican Sisters of Mission San Jose to raise money to support their five inner city schools (three in Los Angeles, two in San Francisco).

I'm one of the 210 in the LA Archdiocese who were recently awarded a papal medal. Ilegra Evans (ACCW 1st. V.P.) and I are getting the Pro Ecclesia et Pontifice award.

I know this is much more than you need or want, but I've never compiled this sort of background before and once I got started, I realized how many years have gone by and how much gets done little by little. Pick out any thing you think of value.

Love to you, Norm, and family,

Loretta
